Job Description
SKUAST Jammu is seeking a qualified Supervisor to work on a NABARD-funded blueberry cultivation project in Jammu and Kashmir. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual for a period of 12 months. The selected candidate will assist in activities related to hydroponics, protected cultivation, environmental monitoring, data recording, and project-related work under the Division of Plant Physiology.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Qualification
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Physiology, Agricultural Engineering, or Life Sciences from a recognized university.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience of not less than one year in hydroponics or soilless cultivation systems.
- Knowledge of nutrient solution preparation.
- Knowledge of fertigation practices.
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring and protected cultivation.
- Experience in data recording.
- Working knowledge of computers including MS Office, data entry, and reporting.
